Time & The Most Powerful Spiritual Truth That It Obscures

Posted on: January 16th, 2023 by admin No Comments

Do you ever get the feeling that you remain the same as time goes by? Of course, your body and state of mind will change through time. But do you, the observer, really change?

We lose ourselves within the changes of time, yet we are the one’s observing time within the context of the past present and future. But would time exist at all if there was no one to observe its beginning? Moreover, if the existence of time depends on having an observer, what is the nature of the observer before time? That’s a lot of questions, I know! But by now you might be feeling a bit anxious about how exposed you feel, after realizing that you might have the potential to exist independent of time. And that is where spirituality comes in.

Time

Even the story of heaven and hell acknowledges your immortality. While Heaven represents the most desirable condition to exist in after death, Hell is symbolic of the undesirable state for you to exist in after death. And that is the state in which you have become unaware of your true nature. Therefore, you may suffer perpetually in conflict within yourself. So, it stands to reason that you must know your true nature, or you will have nothing to return to when time passes. Do you understand?

There are no short cuts to regaining your spiritual certainty. It took a lot of factors to make you forget what you are. So, it will take conscious effort on your part to undo the convictions that have blinded you to your true nature. And that starts with you taking responsibility for your involvement with time.

Consciousness

Some religions portray spirituality as a mechanism for obedience. But spirituality is a mechanism for enlightenment, reawakening the spirit, and reminding it not to be consumed by time or parish with it while living in human form. When you discover your true nature and truly realize that you as a spiritual being can exist within or outside of the context of time, you will have found spiritual freedom. And this is a goal that I encourage you to prioritize achieving before time forces you to let go. Only then can you live free! You cannot free yourself from time while you are unaware of your true nature. So, time will force you to relive your mistakes, until you are mature in spirit.

I know this might be a lot for you to take in, and I don’t expect you to believe me. So, all I ask of you is that you meditate on the things that I have shared with you, so that you can make up your mind as to whether it is true. Only you can elevate your awareness. So, it would be unkind of me to take away that privilege from you by expecting you to believe me. What I truly hope for in sharing my experiences is that you may be able to experience it for yourself. You will not need to believe anything then, because you will simply know. And that knowledge or awareness is the essence of the truth that will empower you and set you spiritually free!

The Only Death There Is

Posted on: January 12th, 2023 by admin No Comments

The only death there is, is being unaware of your true nature. Why? Let me explain. Romans 6 verse 23, paraphrased, tells us “The wage of sin is death.” Some Christians have limited the meaning of sin to moral misbehavior. But moral misbehavior is only a ripple effect of the original transgression that no one seems to be clear on what it is, beyond the muddy story of Adam and Eve.

Jesus left us some clues as to what the original sin is in Psalms 82 verses 5 to 7, and I quote, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.  I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.  But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” End quote.

Jesus alludes to the reason for our downfall in this verse. However, some Christians overlook this, or feel unworthy of such responsibility. The foundation of life is shaken because we have forgotten what we are. You cannot see the god in you while you are enthralled in the conviction that you are only human! And that is the problem! So, we cannot rise above human nature, until we discover our true nature.

Spirituality

If you only think of yourself as a human being, you are thinking of yourself in a manner that is estranged from God. Why? Because that is not what you are! Jesus said you are a god. So, unless you know your true nature, you cannot know God, don’t you see? Therefore, in thinking of yourself as only human, you degrade yourself to a mortal being.  So, death, or unawareness of your true nature, becomes of you. But that is only because death is consistent with human existence. Do you follow?

I would argue that an atheist is merely someone who has become blind to their own true nature. Their sin is not against God, but against themselves. Because by denying God, they also inadvertently try to deny out of existence the spirit that they are themselves. But that is not entirely possible. And so, they suffer in conflict within themselves.

Death

We are taught to fear God under the premise that we are only human. Also, we are taught to fear exploring our spiritual nature, even when we are pure in heart, as something evil or ungodly. But the truth is we are being taught to fear the realizations that lead to our salvation, the truth.  And the truth is that we are gods. Perhaps not in the sense of creating everything, but in the sense of immortal beings that exist free from the limits of time.

The path towards our spiritual awakening is riddled with superstition, irrational fears, lies, and false knowledge. As a result, it took me a long time to filter through the noise and find the truth. I share my experiences and observations in the book Subtle Affirmations. If you feel inclined to read it, I ask that you read it with an open mind, and then come to your own conclusions. But, even if you don’t read my book, I urge you to read the Bible from this perspective, not in fear or out of the need to appease God, but in search of insights into your true nature. Only then will you understand.

Do not fear offending God, in your search for truth. God would not be offended by you seeking the truth. After all, they are one and the same, right? So let your heart be free to seek the truth, and may the truth set you free.

With all my love,

A Mirror For The Soul—Subtle Affirmations

Posted on: June 28th, 2022 by admin No Comments

I often get asked: “What is Subtle Affirmations about?” In a nutshell, Subtle Affirmations is a mirror for the soul. Let me explain. As human beings, we have features and characteristics that are common to us, regardless of our race, nationality, or beliefs. For example: our bodies have similar features for the most part. Combined with the similarities in our intellectual capacity, we distinguish ourselves as the human race. Now, keep in mind that this is only on a superficial level. So, we would need to dive in a bit deeper to discover the main characteristics of something that is at the very core of existence—the spirit.

I stumbled upon a powerful spiritual truth that I could not ignore after something profound happened to me when I was 10 years old. After I tried to deny and fight my experience, I found out that the truth would not let me off the hook so easily. So, I finally gave in and started making some effort towards understanding what was happening to me. Because I wanted to be certain, it took me over 25 years to fully wrap my head around everything. As I searched for answers, I gained some powerful insights and affirmations along the way. Those insights and affirmations are what inspired me to write the book Subtle Affirmations.

I wrote Subtle Affirmations from a place of pure admiration for our true nature. If I could make you see what that is, I have no doubt that your life will be transformed. There is nothing in this book that is not natural to you. All that this book does is open your eyes to that part of you on which everything depends, and help you see through the illusions that make you feel less than what you truly are! There is a natural sense of hope and joy that comes from discovering our true nature. For that reason, I believe that the world would be a better place if we were all aware of our true nature. All the problems and unnecessary suffering created by our superficial existence will not hold us captive anymore. And we will know peace and happiness like never before!

The book Subtle Affirmations is a mirror for the soul. So don’t be afraid to look in the mirror. Let the truth rejuvenate you naturally. Order your copy from Amazon.

Spirituality vs Materialism

Posted on: June 18th, 2022 by admin No Comments

How often do you work on your spiritual growth? I ask this question to bring to light the disparity that often exists between our material pursuits vs our spirituality. If you are one of those individuals constantly working on your spiritual development, I commend you for that. The truth is it takes conscious effort to work on our spiritual growth. By design, anything we pursue in this world lures us away from the seat of our true power, which is the knowledge of our true nature. Why is this a trap? Continue reading to find out.

Spirituality

Spirituality and Life

Rich or poor, we face the same spiritual trap in this universe. That trap is the fact that our attention is dominated either by materialistic problems or luxuries. From the time we wake up, we fall into a routine of solving our life’s problems or pursuing some form of materially focused outcomes. Good or bad, these things capture our attention at the expense of our spiritual awareness and growth. But still, why is that a trap?

Awareness & Spirituality

Have you ever focused on something so much that you forget something else? Our material existence is transitory, yet we focus on it so much that we forget to take care of ourselves spiritually. By taking care of ourselves spiritually, I don’t mean simply going to church. I mean having a quiet moment just to reflect on your true nature and bring ourselves back to center. Spirituality is about raising our awareness of our true nature. If we don’t stay grounded in our true nature as we go through life, we will forget something more valuable than our material existence—our true selves. So, when the life that we focus so much on is finally spent, it’s easy to believe that we cease to exist. And that belief is rooted in our ignorance of our true nature.

Master Your Attention

The routines that we fall into in life can enhance or hinder our spiritual awareness. Your attention is like money. You have to watch how you spend it. We give our attention to the things that we value. So, if we allow life to force us into a routine of neglecting our spiritual nature, we will become blind to our true nature and feel lost in this life or the next. Do you see how that could be? So you have to learn to master your attention and channel it towards elevating your spiritual awareness.

Nurturing The Spirit

If you want healthy apples, you have to nurture the apple tree. Likewise, if you want a meaningful and happier life, you must nurture yourself—the spirit. When you feel affirmed and confident in your true nature, life looks less grim and more playful. However, if we reach the end of our lives dominated by materialistic luxuries or problems, we assume a perspective that has a limited future. And that sums up our spiritual demise. The good news is that it’s all a matter of perspective. If we do the work necessary to reaffirm our true nature, we can reclaim our spiritual freedom and custodianship over the universe.

Know Yourself, Know God

Not to be religious here, but Genesis 1:26 says, “And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” One thing is clear to me from this, and that is, you cannot know God unless you know yourself! If you believe in God, but don’t see a reflection of yourself in God, you hold a limiting belief or perspective of yourself.

Our material existence does not have to dominate our spiritual nature. Whether materialism prevails over spirituality for you, or vice versa, is within your power to decide. For the sake of a brighter future, I hope you choose to embrace and advance spirituality.

Spirituality In a Nutshell

Posted on: May 20th, 2022 by admin No Comments

Spirituality is a term that is often associated with more mystery than clarity. For some people, spirituality implies religious beliefs, or finding oneself. And for others, it’s a realm of pentagrams, spells, and forces that seem to determine people’s fate or fortune. For me, spirituality is about staying anchored in our true nature so that we do not fall victim to this or any other transient life. The truth is we are guests in this material world. However, we have wondered off from our true nature that we now believe we are part of this world. We have become less and less aware of our abilities and true nature. As a result, we have stopped nurturing the light that we contribute into this world. So, this world is falling into chaos partly because we are not being the custodians that it needs.

It is customary for us to believe that we have no power to shape our lives, thanks to cultural and religious indoctrination. When such indoctrination starts early in our lives, it keeps us from realizing our natural freedom and right to command our lives. So, we must depend on something else, since we are unaware of the function that is ours to serve in our own lives.

There is so much of our potential that remains hidden because of the limiting convictions that we inherit. The challenge of exploring our hidden potential or realizing our spiritual nature is therefore the challenge of overcoming limiting convictions in order to realize our true nature. This is the purpose of spirituality. Spirituality is about you, the spirit, just as biology is about your body. It’s about educating ourselves to be aware of our true nature and potential so that we can retain our spiritual integrity. We often think of spirituality in the context of deities, not as something to address or preserve our intrinsic nature. Then during the course of life, we become complacent defining our identity in terms of our race, gender, or culture. And what this does is reinforce our human existence—not our spiritual nature. So, the knowledge that we carry with us at the end of life, is that of a finite existence. In that knowledge of a finite existence, we limit our awareness of our true nature, and also become oblivious of our potential for eternity.

The imbalance between the knowledge of our human experience and our true nature preconditions us to believe in a finite existence. The reduction of our spiritual awareness over time makes it so that the finite reality of the world we are living in seems applicable to us. Therefore, these are the challenges that we seek to overcome with spirituality. The methods that we use to realize our spiritual nature (meditation for instance) is the essence of spirituality. Spirituality has nothing to do with God(s). It’s about looking beyond the façade of our human experience and reawakening to the subtle, yet powerful forces responsible for manifesting life. Existence takes on a new meaning when you realize that the force that shapes life is inherent to your true nature. But before you can get to that realization, you must battle all kinds of falsehoods and limiting convictions that leave you dependent, rather than free!

spirituality

The truth is, if you believe yourself to be subservient to life, you don’t know yourself! A sock puppeteer is not subservient to his/her sock puppets. Likewise, you are not subservient to your body. Therefore, the purpose of spirituality is to unravel the truth to that effect and restore the power that belongs to you. Spirituality is not for the faint of heart. Living in a world that is contrary to our true nature is tough! It takes a lot more than fluff or feel-good popular sentiment to remain aware of our true nature. That is why truth-based spirituality is the only way of life that can nourish and empower the spirit. Armed with the truth, the spirit can withstand the illusions of this world and stay true to its own nature. Our spiritual nature is an actuality of life—not a fantasy. This will become evident to you if you can quiet your mind enough for your consciousness to become untangled from the indoctrination of our human existence!

Your Individuality

Posted on: April 2nd, 2022 by admin No Comments

Your individuality (true nature) is more important than your identity (physical being). When you understand what that means, you can be free to embrace the truth. Before we can embrace our true nature, we must first discipline ourselves to abstain from craving identity. We have inherited a lie through human existence that having an identity is more important than our individuality. But, in a spiritual context, as long as you have an insatiable craving for an identity, it will cripple your awareness of your individuality. If your identity is like a burning candle, your individuality is like oxygen. So, if you become subservient to your identity, you will only inherit it’s level of awareness and limitations. There is nothing in this world that compares to your true nature. Let your awareness transcend with Subtle Affirmations.

The Power Of Truth

Posted on: March 31st, 2022 by admin No Comments

The truth illuminates the nature of the spirit. That’s why the truth has the power to set us free! The Merriam Webster dictionary defines Truth as: “a transcendent fundamental or spiritual reality.” In the fleeting and sometimes turbulent reality of material existence, we must anchor ourselves in such truths. That’s where we find the strength to overcome, and enduring peace. Your discovery of such truths will be an awakening to your true nature and potential. The truth is an affirmation that empowers you, the spirit, by illuminating the subtleties of your intrinsic nature.
